My paintings exist within a matrix of emotion and intuition. Feeling is conveyed through dynamic form and color, giving an illusion of movement and generating drama. My passion to paint is the exploration of the emotional potency of the figures. The drama that I try to create deals with associated feelings of alienation, anxiety and tranquility. The distinction between anxiety and tranquility is often very fine. I hope that in my endeavor to reach people, my art will carry us beyond ourselves in the quest to understand human existence.
