Raised in the Washington DC area, Wendy attended Pratt Institute and received a BFA from The Academy Of Art University. Additional studies have been conducted at SVA, WSA, Omega, RAA and FAWC. She began as a collage artist incorporating painting, drawing and other mixed-media. For more than a decade she has worked in the film industry on projects such as Sex & The City, The Devil Wears Prada and several of the Marvel series. Wendy currently explores monotype printmaking, painting and photography. She shares her time between Brooklyn and Woodstock, New York.

Color, shape and texture are compelling to me. Combining different mediums has been a natural progression of my work.  I incorporate printmaking, painting, drawing, and collage. Although I am inspired by my environment, my images are rendered mostly abstract. I view the start of each piece as an experiment, staying open to uncertainty and letting my intuition guide me.  Creating many layers of texture, I then scrape away elements revealing unexpected treasures beneath the surface. Process is more important to me than a preconceived outcome, so taking risks is key to my approach.
