What is left over after we strip away the ephemera of our identities? How much damage has this storm done to this ship? What do we perceive that will last beyond our lives? What truth is external to us? My work has been dealing with the outsider's view of the inside, and the insider's view of the outside. I have been making work that sets up windows and barriers to be passed through, just as information and experience passes through the windows of our conscious perception. Nature is a constant and our works are ephemeral. Our ambitions, efforts, and achievements reveal much about our desires and fears. In the end, no one will be left standing, but right now, life is glorious.
