Creative Philosophy My work is going through change. This happens periodically, however this time around, I am in full acceptance. The idiom of figuration continues to fascinate me. A conceptual image takes root, morphing in form and expression, building surface, creating a presence. Currently the paintings are small, which allows me to work more quickly between pieces. This is an asset, as I look for impulse and rawness in execution to allow the imagery to be simple and direct. There is a new reality I am discovering, one that reveals the struggle of forces, both light and dark, constantly at play in life. My new work is engaging in this process.
