Through painting I depict fictional scenes that explore the potential of beauty in everyday life. The dreamlike narratives focus on the eccentricities of objects and nature that assume a humanistic personality. The isolation and dislocation of these gathered objects form characters. Becoming representations of both their innate qualities and their fantastic potential. In this personification remains a light-hearted humor. I am also concerned with the emotion of a memory and a longing for the past. The collection of shapes, patterns, and colors reconstructed to form a moment. The resulting paintings are both nostalgic and imaginative, recalling an idealized past and playful reality.
