Meg Swearman is an artist and illustrator from Pittsburgh, PA. She is currently attending Seton Hill University, and is set to graduate spring 2015 with a BFA in visual arts. In the past Meg has interned at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, as well doing freelance works. She works predominantly with marker illustration, but also enjoys a wide variety of other mediums. Her subject matter focuses on looking beneath the surface of everyday things.
My artwork is intended to take a closer look at the ordinary. We go through every day seeing the mundane and familiar without looking deeper. I just want to make you look below the surface, and question your own way of thinking about the world.
