My work is an over-sugarized, kidlike celebration of 80s and 90s pop culture. Using a variety of materials (including kids arts and crafts supplies) and methods (video game editing software/iPhone painting apps), I create images that go beyond the ironic. Over different bodies of work, I explore the idea of free spirited play as it operates in and responds to the massive illusions of a hyper-stimulated culture of consumption and overaccumulation.
