Kathleen Steventon was born in New York, and gained her Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University in Landscape Architecture in 1984. She practiced landscape design for 10 years, at the same time attending evening art instruction. After moving overseas for many years, Kathleen moved back to the USA, to rural Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Currently she is a full-time animal artist. Within a few months of beginning her art career, Kathleen was granted a commission by the San Juan Mountain Association to paint one of the Pumas-on-Parade public art sculptures. Currently Kathleen's works are for sale on her website, , as well as in the Two Old Crows Gallery in Pagosa Springs, CO. She continues to improve her painting skills and expand her connection to all things animal in her rustic Colorado studio space.
