Emmy's passion and talent for art (and horses) started at a very young age. She graduated from Skidmore College with a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art in 2010. After graduating, Emmy continued her studies in Florence, Italy at Studio Art Centers Internarional with a double concentration in painting and photography. Emmy's work has been represented by galleries and businesses around the Philadelphia area. Shows include Philadelphia's Upcoming Artists Gala in 2010 and a solo show in the heart of center city, Philadelphia on 17th and Walnut. In addition to fine art, Emmy has traveled extensively with her work in photography and video.
My work is an investigation of feeling and motion. This is translated through my use of line and bold color. I am deeply obsessed with bringing the inner spirit of the horse into the viewers space. The horse, on a personal level, represents rebirth, power and transformation. My work is wonderfully invasive and bold, not to be ignored.
