Notice of Information Collected and How We Use It

Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, efficient, and customized experience. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customize our services to your experience. We only collect personal information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose. Artsicle will not sell or disclose your personal information, including name, physical address, or email address, to third parties without your explicit consent, except as specified in this privacy policy.

Registration: Artsicle collects personal information when you register to use Artsicle services. At registration you are asked for your email address, name and zip code. During registration you are required to give information in accordance with our Terms of Use. We use this information to contact you about the products and services on our Website in which you have expressed interest.

Orders: If you order a product from us, whether as a purchase or rental, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide both contact information (such as name, email, and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number and expiration date).

Browsing: Artsicle automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookies, and the pages you request. This information may be used to further customize your experience with our site.

Refer-a-Friend: We may provide the opportunity to tell a friend about Artsicle, asking you to provide your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a email inviting him or her to visit the site. Artsicle stores this information for the sole purpose of tracking the success of our referral program.

Message Posting & Correspondence: If you choose to post messages in our public message areas or leave feedback on our site, we will collect the information you post. We retain this information as necessary to resolve disputes, provide customer support and troubleshoot problems. If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.

Cookies & Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs): We employ technology including cookies and clear gifs, also referred to as web beacons or web bugs, that help manage content on the Website by tracking what is effective. Artsicle uses its these tools for a number of purposes, including to: Access your information when you "sign in"; keep track of preferences you specify while you are using Artsicle's services; display local product offerings; estimate and report Artsicle's total audience size and traffic; conduct research to improve Artsicle's content and services.

Profile: We store the information we collect through log files and clear gifts to create a profile of your preferences. We may tie your personally identifiable information, and your purchasing history, to information in the profile, in order to provide tailored promotions and market offers and/or to improve the content of the site for you. We do not share your profile with third parties.

Address Verification: We use third party software to verify your identify and address, in order to ensure proper shipping and billing procedures for your orders.

Communication from Us

Service Emails: Artsicle will send you a welcome email to verify your username and password when you sign up for Artsicle's services. We will communicate with you in response to your inquires, to provide the services you request, to mange your account, and to provide the best customer service possible. On occasion we may send strictly service-related announcements. You may not opt-out of service-related communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account by emailing info@artsicle.com from the email address you signed up with.

Newsletters & Promotional Emails: If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter(s) and/or promotional emails, we will use your name and email address to send the messages to you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide you a way to unsubscribe in all messages.

Conditions Under Which We Share Information

Vendors: Artsicle may disclose your personally identifiable information to 3rd party service providers that we use to provide our services to you. This includes an outside shipping company to fulfill orders and a credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. Artsicle retains the right to disclose non-personally identifiable information at our discretion. These companies do not retain, share, store, or use your personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

Legal Disclaimer: We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights; to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us or the Website; or in connection with an actual or proposed corporate transaction or insolvency proceeding involving all or part of the business or asset to which the information pertains.

Change of Control: Artsicle will transfer personally identifiable information about you if Artsicle is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, Artsicle will notify you by email or by putting a prominent notice on the Artsicle web site before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

The site contains links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by Artsicle. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy policies of such other sites.

Our Relationship with Social Networking Sites

We have created interfaces that allow you to connect with other social networking websites including Facebook and Twitter (“SN Sites”) through the Site. We work with the SN Site’s application protocol interface (better known as their developer API) in a way that allows you to authorize us to access your account on that SN Site on your behalf. In order to provide this authorization, you do not provide us with your user name or password to the SN Site, but you will need to log-in to that SN Site directly through our Site. Once authorized by you, the SN Site provides us a token that allows the SN Site to recognize us when we ask, on your behalf, for access to your account information or to post information. For example, when you click “Like”, we will post the applicable information to your Facebook account. You can revoke our access to any SN Site at any time by amending the appropriate settings from within your account settings on the applicable SN Site.

Access to Personally Identifiable Information

If your personally identifiable information changes, or you no longer desire our services, you may correct, update, delete or deactivate it by making the change to your account or by emailing our Customer Support at info@artsicle.com or by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below. Artsicle will respond to your request within 10-20 business days. Please note that your identification, billing and contact information may remain in Artsicle's records for some period. Artsicle limits access to personal information about you to employees who Artsicle believes reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs. Your Artsicle Account Information is password-protected.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.
