WET PAINT:
DEANNA LEE

A few weeks ago, we began a new series to usher in our blog's redesign called Wet Paint. In this series, we select an Artsicle artist and then ask them to complete a short personal questionnaire. The last artist we chose was Malado Baldwin. Today, we have Deanna Lee!

Why We Love Her

We love Deanna's drawings, which start as "controlled doodles" and develop into lovely and mysterious abstract works. Taking inspiration from the motifs of clouds, waves, and hair in traditional Asian art, her work explores moods and relationships using natural forms that reveal themselves to her as she draws. We think you'll love getting lost in these tangles.
