My work in the past several years has been inspired by regular travels to various European countries, especially to Italy. Small works have been created in places visited, and have been followed up by large paintings in my New York studio. There is a lot of surface and relief quality in these works, giving them a sculptural dimension, along with colors specific to the areas visited
