My most recent art work focuses on unique and isolated landscapes. In 2009, I created a series of paintings depicting my travels down the Madre de Dios River in the jungle of Southern Peru. In 2010, I was a participant in "The Arctic Circle Residency" aboard a sailing vessel in the High Arctic off the coast of Svalbard, Norway. The paintings resulting from the two residencies attempt to convey the ethereal quality of these mythic and fragile landscapes.

For my next series of paintings, I plan to focus on the culture of mountaineering and exploration and the human interactions with these environments. Next stop - Patagonia!
