Andrea Tese is a photographer and artist whose debut solo exhibition entitled “Boats Against the Current” appeared at the Heist Gallery located in New York City in 2009. Her work is featured in the American Photography 27 annual - a 2011 publication by AI-AP showcasing the best photographic work of 2010, and was also featured in AP24 in 2006. Her photography has appeared in group exhibitions at The Center for Fine Art Photography, Conner Contemporary Art and the Georgetown University Art Gallery in Washington DC, and the Visual Arts Gallery in New York City. Tese’s fine art photography is part of the permanent collection at The Center for Fine Art Photography and owned by the Sandor Family Collection and the Johnson Museum of Art at Cornell University, and has also been featured in industry publications such as Phillips du Pury’s phillipsartexpert.com and The Visual Arts Journal. Her multimedia installation work and video art was exhibited in a group exhibition at Miami Art Basel, 2010.
Tese’s editorial work has been featured in T: The New York Times’ Style Magazine, Whitewall Magazine, WWD, as well as international editions of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Cosmopolitan Magazines. In May 2009 Tese was presented with the Young Innovative Award by the National Arts Club, as well as the Gold Medal award, the highest honor bestowed by the club.
Tese was born and raised in New York City, where she currently resides.
