Allen Furbeck is a painter and photographer living in New York City. One of the subjects of his work is the landscape in and around the Brandywine Creek in Northern Delaware. The photographs here are all made from multiple exposures, stitched together in Photoshop and other image processing applications. The final shapes of the images are dependent on the stitching process and the way the original images were shot.<br />
The artist is currently on the faculty at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and teaches a course in panoramic and high dynamic range photography.
"Vortex" is a stereographic projection of a nearly complete 360 x 180 degree HDR capture of a scene near Lake Tahoe, CA.
"Vortex" is available in two sizes....[more] The larger size is 40" x 40" (with an image size of 34" x 34") and is available both framed for $1000 and unframed for $800. The smaller size is 24" x 24" (with an image size of 19" x 19") and is available for $400 framed and $250 unframed. Both sizes are limited to editions of 11, and are signed dated and numbered in pencil on the back of the print. Framing is "display" framing, consisting of acrylic glazing the print and a foam-core backing in a wooden frame, but no matting or mounting. "Museum" framings are available upon request.
